What to Know About Registration
Academic Requirements
Because the IOM Academy is an ABRET Approved, Pathway IV, Formal Education Program in Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring, there are no required education prerequisites. Having said that, the ideal candidate must have an excellent work ethic, a desire to be in the medical field, must have ( or develop) good study skills, must be able to effectively communicate, and be self motivated! Beyond those requirements a bachelors degree is recommended, but not essential. Some college is helpful in that it demonstrates the ability to study and learn. Again, it is not necessary.
Admission Process

To begin the application process to The IOM Academy please complete the form on the application page. Once the form is submitted you will receive an email with a link to download your application. You will also be asked to write a short essay to submit with your application. Once the application is processed, you will be contacted for an interview. If accepted into the program the student will be contacted with instructions for processing enrollment. We look forward to hearing from you!
